How To Muddle Fruit


 

Here is a demonstration of how to muddle fruit in a cocktail. For soft fruit it's better to use a muddler with teeth to better pulverize the fruit. For herbs it is better to use a blunt ended muddler to not tear the herbs, but instead lightly bruise them to release their oils and fragrance. Tearing the herbs can release a bitter unpleasant flavor.
